The State of Washington, acting through the Department of Enterprise Services on behalf of the Department of Licensing, is conducting a market search for approximately two acres of usable land for driver testing in Pierce, Thurston, or Lewis County. The proposed site may include up to 2,800 square feet of office and training room space and must provide code-compliant, enclosed, conditioned space with plumbing, power, and lighting that can be configured for the agency's program. The agency requires a minimum five-year lease term; proposers may optionally offer a term of up to ten years. Close access to high-speed roads and hotels is required, while paved or secure gated testing parking, locations outside the 100-year floodplain, co-location with other state agencies, examiner and testing workstations, a kitchenette, and a training room accommodating up to 20 people are advantageous or requested as described in the solicitation.
