Description
The City of Chestermere is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to provide and manage specialized transit services for eligible residents who cannot use conventional transit because of a disability, medical condition, or mobility limitation. The scope includes onboarding approved registrants into the contractor’s booking and dispatch system, trip booking and dispatch, operation of accessible vehicles, customer service, reporting, fare collection, and program administration. Services are expected to include local trips within Chestermere and a limited number of medical trips to Calgary, supported by a transparent cost-sharing model between the City and riders. Proponents may propose to satisfy most, but not necessarily all, requirements and must clearly identify any exceptions, limitations, or alternative approaches. The estimated contract period is 36 months, with a proposed start date of December 28, 2026.
