Description
The Colorado Office of Information Technology (OIT), on behalf of the Colorado Department of Public Safety (CDPS), is procuring a one-year renewal of the FileOnQ SAMSOnQ subscription plan, including services, maintenance, and support, for the Colorado Sexual Assault Kit Tracking System (COSAK). This system enables survivors of sexual assault to track the status of their forensic kits through automated and manual data entry by Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, law enforcement, and forensic lab scientists. The software is a state-hosted web application that allows CDPS-DCJ to monitor data collection and provide access to survivors. The procurement is justified as a sole source because the system is purpose-built for state sexual assault kit tracking, uses proprietary data formats, and migration to an alternative would require months of effort.
