Description
CENIC is procuring Category One telecommunications services for California public libraries, including approximately 175 standalone data transmission circuits, 175 leased dark-fiber connections, 175 leased lit-fiber connections, and 175 Category One maintenance and operations services. Requested capacities range from 10 Mbps to 100 Gbps, with options including MEF-compliant Metro Ethernet, dedicated lit DWDM or direct-fiber point-to-point service, and pairs of single-mode dark fibers. Installation and initial configuration are included in the service requests. Proposers must submit a signed nondisclosure agreement or have an existing agreement on file before receiving aggregation-hub site addresses. Responses must use the Pricing Worksheet (Exhibit D); PDF and locked-spreadsheet responses are not accepted. The solicitation also includes special-construction information requirements, such as route details, fiber counts, maps, plant mix, construction costs, electronics, and endpoint coordinates, when applicable.
