Description
The Town of Moncks Corner is seeking an experienced developer or development team to acquire and redevelop a highly visible 2.6-acre site in the heart of downtown Moncks Corner. The project envisions two three-story mixed-use commercial buildings (Building A at approximately 50,000 square feet and Building B at approximately 44,000 square feet) to be occupied by retail, full-service restaurants, and residential units. The Town will also develop an outdoor event space with a stage, pavilion, event lawn, and water feature; surface parking with 140-150 spaces; and street reconfiguration and infrastructure improvements. The developer will be responsible for acquiring and demolishing an existing building on a 0.22-acre parcel, and for planning, designing, financing, and constructing the two mixed-use buildings. The Town will contribute approximately 2.4 acres of land and will handle the public improvements. The goal is to continue and accelerate downtown revitalization and stimulate further investment.
