The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is soliciting grant applications for its Education and Research Centers (ERCs) program. These centers are crucial for developing a qualified workforce in occupational safety and health, as mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Act. ERCs are expected to deliver high-quality interdisciplinary graduate and post-graduate training, conduct research aligned with the NIOSH National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA), and provide continuing education and outreach to various stakeholders including worker advocacy groups and businesses. NIOSH emphasizes that each institution or university is limited to one training grant application. Additionally, current recipients of the NIOSH T03 Occupational Safety and Health Training Project Grants award are ineligible to apply for or receive sub-awards under this funding opportunity.
