Description
Centralia School District 135 is requesting proposals for a new or renewed managed fiber-optic wide area network connecting the district office and three school sites. The requested solution includes three 10-Gigabit-per-second links to the district office, turnkey design and installation, construction and permitting, connections to each building’s main distribution frame, and managed Cisco routers or equivalent equipment at each site. The district also identifies a 99.99% minimum uptime requirement and requests maintenance, support, response-time commitments, emergency-call procedures, fiber-cut procedures, service-call rates, and any applicable trip charges. The proposal must provide pricing for a three-year managed lease, including installation and construction costs, along with a network design drawing, company and school-district experience information, at least three qualifying references, a typical managed lease or sales contract, and a maintenance contract. Vendors must participate in good standing in the E-rate program, provide a SPIN, identify eligible and ineligible costs separately, and comply with applicable E-rate and USAC requirements. Installation is expected after July 1, 2027, subject to E-rate and Board of Education approval. The solicitation requires insurance, including at least $1,000,000 each for comprehensive liability and workers’ compensation coverage, with a certificate naming the district as additionally insured; that certificate is due upon contract award.
