Description
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking organizations to provide expert professional consultation, evaluation, and coordination of services to address specialized health care and health safety related issues. Eligible organizations include health care and safety quality improvement organizations, health advocacy organizations, hospitals, medical centers, provider advocacy organizations, health care or related membership organizations, schools of public health, medical schools, and organizations with specialized expertise in emergency preparedness or public health. These services will be for fixed-price projects in the department requiring a range of specialized skills over the duration of a project. Services can include specialized health care and safety expert consulting, project coordination, activities/projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of health care operations, training and education services, quality improvement activities, building linkages and collaborations with a range of community partners and providers, investigation and evaluation of current medical/public health practice and health-related topics, and delivery of presentations on medical/scientific/public health topics. Services may be performed in DPH disciplines that include immunization, infectious disease control and response, family health and nutrition for pregnant women, newborns, and young children, refugee and immigrant health, behavioral health, children with special health care needs and their families, the childhood lead poisoning prevention program, heart disease and stroke prevention, and emergency preparedness.
