Description
The Committee for Public Counsel Services seeks a qualified firm or organization to conduct independent workload studies for attorneys in its Children and Family Law Division and Mental Health Litigation Division. The studies must assess current workload and caseload expectations, case complexity and duration, attorney capacity, available data, and the time and resources needed to provide effective representation consistent with professional and ethical obligations. The vendor is expected to use a transparent, evidence-based methodology and incorporate input from experienced practitioners and subject-matter experts. The vendor must develop recommendations for sustainable workload standards, including potential caseload limits or alternative measures of capacity, and analyze implications for staffing, case assignments, resource allocation, and funding. Deliverables include a written report for each division and a presentation of each study’s results to CPCS leadership. The contract is for an initial 12-month term, with two optional renewal periods of up to one year each.
