Description
The City of Murfreesboro is soliciting bids for high-density mineral bond pavement application for its Street Department. The work includes pavement preparation, single- and multi-range crack sealing, mobilization, roadway cleaning and repairs, traffic control, protection of adjacent surfaces and pavement markings, and application of a two-coat high-density mineral bond surface treatment. Estimated bid quantities include 20,000 square yards of mineral bond and specified quantities of crack-sealing work, but actual quantities will be based on approved and accepted work. The contractor must provide compliant materials, equipment, labor, testing, traffic-control notifications, manufacturer certifications, a mix design, warranty documentation, and a five-year warranty for the completed treatment. The specifications require relevant project experience, including five similar projects using the same mix design and demonstrated five-year performance, as well as foreman experience. Installation must be completed within eight weeks after receipt of a purchase order or notice to proceed. The contract term is one year, with up to four additional one-year renewals at the City's discretion.
