Description
Talent Ready Utah is accepting ongoing joint proposals from Utah companies and degree-granting postsecondary institutions or technical colleges within the Utah System of Higher Education for the Utah Works Program. Proposed programs must provide short-term pre-employment or early-employment training, generally completed in less than nine months, to address targeted high-demand skilled labor positions in Utah. Commercial Driver’s License programs will not be considered during this review cycle. Applicants must demonstrate an employer’s skilled labor gap, significant hiring demand, substantial presence in Utah, and cost-share contribution, together with an executed collaboration agreement between the employer and institution. Grant funds may support direct program costs including personnel, curriculum development, equipment, supplies, student travel, approved subcontracts or professional services, marketing, and other direct costs; general administration is not eligible. Applications must include a proposal narrative, budget narrative, executed collaboration agreement, and Salesforce portal budget entries. The proposal narrative is limited to six pages and must address need, program management, implementation, performance outcomes, and budget.
