Description
The City of Richmond, through its Department of Public Utilities, seeks a contractor for a requirements-based contract supporting nine Alfa Laval ALDEC decanter centrifuges at its wastewater treatment plant: five ALDEC G3-115 centrifuges in the Dewatering Building and four ALDEC G3-105 centrifuges in the Thickening Building. The scope includes furnishing and delivering centrifuge parts, as well as maintenance, repair, and rebuild services requiring substantial machine-shop capabilities. The centrifuges operate continuously, creating an ongoing need for regular rebuilds and related support. The contract also includes disassembly, inspection, repair, balancing, testing, painting, palletizing, shipment, emergency repairs, and related labor, materials, supervision, and transportation. Bidders must provide pricing, required forms, a digital parts-tracking description, qualified personnel information and resumes, qualifying centrifuge-repair references, and descriptive literature for any proposed equal products. The contract includes a one-year initial term, a possible extension of up to 12 months, and up to two two-year renewal terms.
