The Province of British Columbia, through the BC Timber Sales Babine Business Area, is offering Timber Sale Licence TA1947 for sale. The licence covers an estimated area of 56 hectares and an estimated total timber volume of 21,450 cubic metres, more or less, consisting primarily of Balsam (58%), Spruce (41%), and Lodgepole Pine (1%). The licence term is 19 months. The upset stumpage rate is $39.16 per cubic metre. Bidders must be registered as BC Timber Sales enterprises in Category 1, 4, or 5. The successful applicant will be required to conform to the BC Timber Sales Environmental Management System and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative standard. Safety certification is required for those directing workers. Bids are due by September 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
