Description
The Town of Nantucket, through its Department of Public Works, is soliciting bids for construction of the Tom Nevers Road Multi-Use Path Project. The work includes selective demolition and salvage; construction of a paved multi-use path and raised boardwalk; roadway and driveway crossings; grading and drainage improvements; erosion and sediment controls; utility-relocation coordination; permanent signage and shared-use-path pavement markings; loam, seeding, planting, restoration, and related site improvements. The project also requires prevailing-wage compliance, OSHA-approved 10-hour construction safety training, a five-year experience history with similar multi-use-path construction, municipal references from the past three years, insurance coverage, a five-percent bid deposit, and payment and performance bonds each equal to 100 percent of the contract price. The successful bidder must complete the work no later than May 28, 2027.
