Description
The USDA Agricultural Research Service is seeking one continuous whipping mixer on a brand-name-or-equal basis. The mixer must support continuous aeration and foaming of liquid food feedstocks, including dairy-based formulations; use a rotor/stator mixing head or equivalent high-shear mechanism; provide a jacketed mixing head for temperature control; and identify the recommended operating viscosity range. The equipment is intended for benchtop research and development, must process feedstock at rates as low as 5 kg/h, operate independently, and provide user control over pump rate, mixing-head speed, and air-incorporation rate. Required safety features include an emergency shutdown button, back-pressure monitoring, and automatic shutdown when pressure limits are exceeded. The quotation must include pricing, identify the brand, make, and model, and provide descriptive literature or other documentation demonstrating compliance with all salient characteristics. Delivery is required within 60 days after award or receipt of the offer, as specified in the solicitation.
