Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is seeking information from potential sources capable of manufacturing and supplying an axial piston pump for the CHINOOK weapon system. The notice identifies the required item as NSN 4320-01-118-4428, part number 145HS140-10. The Government states that it does not own the data needed to obtain the part from additional sources and that reverse engineering is uneconomical; firms must meet prequalification requirements to be registered as potential sources. Potential sources would be responsible for engineering associated with source qualification and the manufacturing and production process, including supply-chain management, logistics, forecasting, long-lead procurement, obsolescence issues, and final delivery.
