The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) is planning a one-day Safety Expo to be held at their Headquarters in Washington, D.C. This event aims to showcase roadway safety technologies and innovations through hands-on interactive demonstrations and simulators. The expo intends to raise public awareness among leaders from state and local transportation agencies, members of Congress, industry stakeholders, safety advocates, students, and the media. Entities are invited to submit Statements of Interest to demonstrate innovative roadway safety products, solutions, technologies, and tools. Submissions should highlight high-impact, unique innovations with tangible applications for improving roadway safety. Areas of interest include advanced robotics, automated driving systems, behavioral safety, commercial motor vehicle safety, pedestrian and cyclist safety, nighttime visibility, work zone safety, and more. Participants are responsible for all costs associated with their participation, including transportation, assembly, and breakdown of equipment, as no federal funding is available for this opportunity.
