Description
Shawnee County is soliciting a bid for one new, unused 2026–2027 single-axle diesel truck configured with a commercial container handler and rotator. The truck must meet detailed chassis, engine, emissions, axle, braking, cab, safety, and equipment specifications, including a minimum 28,000-pound gross combination weight, a 6-speed Allison 3000RDS transmission, and a container-handling system rated for 8,000 pounds with 360-degree rotation. The system must handle containers from 1-yard front-load through 8-yard rear-load sizes and dump into a 30-yard roll-off container. The bid must include pricing, proposed truck and container-handler makes and models, warranty and product-support information, manufacturing specifications, published literature, photographs or illustrations, exceptions, and required signatures. The supplier must provide manuals, one working day of technician training, pre-delivery service, and a five-year/50,000-mile extended warranty and service contract beyond the factory warranty for specified truck and drivetrain components. Delivery is required within 180 days after purchase-order issuance to the Shawnee County Solid Waste Maintenance Shop. A trade-in vehicle is identified, and the bid must state the trade-in allowance and total bid price.
