Description
Hillsborough County is soliciting a contractor to furnish and install a new 1,500 kW/1,875 kVA diesel-driven standby generator in a walk-in enclosure on an 8,500-gallon sub-base fuel tank at the Valrico Reclaimed Water Facility. The work includes a reinforced concrete pad, access stairs and platforms, a 100%-rated 2,000-amp, 65 kAIC circuit breaker, replacement of an existing utility service feed, new manhole and concrete-encased duct banks, conductors and conduits, and electrical and control modifications to the existing switchgear. The project also includes a 10 kVA uninterruptible power supply, programmable logic controller replacement and integration with existing SCADA systems, generator controls, fuel monitoring and leak detection, startup and testing, and associated civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and process-integration work. The solicitation is estimated at $4,728,600 and includes a 5% Small Business Enterprise subcontracting participation goal. A bid bond equal to at least 5% of the bid is required; performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the awarded contract amount are required from the successful bidder.
