Description
This project seeks professional design and/or engineering services for significant building improvements at the South Mountain Secure Treatment Unit, located at 10056 South Mountain Road, South Mountain, PA 17261. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency and create essential program spaces. Key aspects include the addition of a kitchen, dining area, laundry facilities, administration offices, and a vocational classroom. Renovations will also be performed on existing office areas and the loading dock. Additionally, the gymnasium will be converted into a weight room, and modifications will be made to the secure perimeter fencing. The estimated construction cost for this project is $7,700,000.00. This procurement is identified as eligible for Small Diverse Business (SDB) and Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. Specifically, the goals are set at 21% for SDB participation and 3% for VBE participation. Applicants must either meet these goals or demonstrate good faith efforts to do so.
