Description
Long Beach Community College District is soliciting proposals from qualified audit firms for independent financial audits, Proposition 39 general obligation bond financial and performance audits, and related compliance work. Services must comply with generally accepted auditing standards, Government Auditing Standards, the California Community Colleges Contracted District Audit Manual, applicable Education Code requirements, and the Uniform Guidance. The scope includes District funds, bond-funded projects and activities, federally assisted programs, and the LBCCD Auxiliary component unit. The selected auditor will provide audit reports, management letters when necessary, required federal and state reporting, searchable PDF and printed report copies, and presentations to the Board of Trustees and Citizens Oversight Committee. The proposal must include qualifications and references, proposed staffing, cost and pricing, a work plan and technical approach, exceptions or deviations, resumes, a Non-Collusion Declaration, and IRS Form W-9. The contract covers five fiscal years and requires the auditor to complete each annual audit by December 31 following the fiscal year under examination.
