Description
The City of Monroe is soliciting sealed bids for construction improvements at Texas Avenue and South 8th Street. The contract documents include a bid form, bid bond, agreement, general and supplementary conditions, payment and performance bonds, drawings, specifications, and addenda. Prime contractors must hold an active Louisiana contractor license in the Municipal and Public Works classification and provide the license number when requesting documents and on the bid envelope. Bidders may submit electronically through QuestCDN or submit sealed bids. The successful bidder must execute the construction agreement and provide performance and payment bonds after award; the contractor must begin mobilization and material procurement within 10 working days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. The project also includes applicable bonding, insurance, employment, wage, Section 3, equal employment opportunity, and segregated-facilities requirements, with additional Section 3 submissions for CDBG projects.
