Description
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is conducting a one-time acquisition for one firefighter flashover simulator. The required system includes a fire training module and raised burn chamber, recessed observation chamber for up to 10 participants, staging platform, ventilation and environmental controls, thermal protection, Class A fuel support systems, mechanical controls, safety systems, egress doors, drainage, and related accessories. The simulator must meet the stated NFPA, Cal/OSHA, California Building Code, ASTM, and structural welding requirements. The awardee must provide delivery, assembly, installation, inspection, manufacturer warranty documentation, and a one-day live, in-person training program led by at least one NFPA-certified instructor. Bidders must submit an all-inclusive price for the simulator and freight, a completed cost worksheet in Microsoft Excel format, narrative responses, descriptive literature or a complete sales quote, and the required certifications, payee information, and other bid forms. If the bidder is not the original equipment manufacturer, an authorized reseller letter is required.
