Description
The U.S. Navy has issued a draft Statement of Work for industry review concerning repair, overhaul, and conversion of J85-GE-5 and J85-GE-100A turbojet engines supporting BQM-34S subsonic aerial targets. The contemplated work includes test, teardown, and evaluation; approved repair, overhaul, or conversion activities; performance evaluation and test-cell verification; quality assurance; configuration and data management; preservation, packaging, and return shipment; and associated program management and reporting. This is a special notice for feedback, not a formal solicitation or request for proposals. Respondents are asked to submit comments, suggestions, and questions using the provided format, identifying the applicable SOW page, section, and paragraph. The draft also identifies CMMC Level 2 self-assessment and NIST SP 800-171 compliance, controlled unclassified information protection, operations security, and eligibility for Non-Critical Sensitive work involving a Tier-3 investigation for certain personnel.
