Description
The Port of Port Arthur Navigation District of Jefferson County is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a turn lane and truck staging area. The scope includes furnishing materials, equipment, labor, supervision, and related construction operations for site paving, subgrade stabilization, storm sewer, fencing, concrete sidewalks and curb and gutter, electrical conduit and lighting, demolition, traffic control, and stormwater pollution prevention measures. The bid package includes a required original bid form, bidder information and certification forms, a 5% bid bond, and other certifications and statements identified in the contract documents. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, are required for the awarded contract. The project also requires prevailing wages, specified insurance coverage, and compliance with the project's Small Business Enterprise policy, which establishes a 0% SBE goal but requires that SBEs be given an opportunity to participate.
