TOWNSHIP OF WAYNE LEGAL NOTICE The Township of Wayne, New Jersey shall begin receiving applications from qualified contractors for the seasonal furnishing of “2025-2026 SNOW PLOWING SERVICES APPLICATION” beginning on September 18, 2025. Contractors that apply shall be required to provide their own trucks, plows, and any related equipment as specified in the application package. Copies of the application package available through OpenGov, https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/waynetownship, and open to public inspection on and after September 18, 2025. Description
Wayne Township is seeking individual contractors to provide seasonal snow plowing services on Township roads during the October 1, 2026, through May 1, 2027, snow season. Contractors must provide and maintain eligible vehicles, plows, chains, ballast, drivers, licenses, registrations, insurance, and powered-on cell phones. Subcontracting is prohibited, and vehicles must be owned, registered, and insured by the contractor. Work begins when authorized Township personnel issue a call-out; contractors must report to the Department of Public Works garage, plow continuously until released, and perform the work safely and lawfully. Responses must include vendor information, copies of all drivers’ licenses, vehicle registrations, vehicle insurance cards, the completed Contractor Information Sheet, emergency call-out phone numbers, required confirmations, and the New Jersey Russia/Belarus and Iran activities disclosure certification. Payment is based on actual plowing time at specified hourly rates by vehicle class and day, with possible minimum-guarantee and hook-up fees subject to the contract deadlines. The solicitation requires vehicle liability and property-damage insurance meeting the stated New Jersey statutory minimums.
