Description
Howard County, Maryland is seeking one or more full-line HVAC supply distributors to furnish new commercial and residential heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment, supplies, parts, accessories, and related materials through an electronic line-item bid. Brokers and jobbers are not accepted. The contractor must have at least five years of HVAC supply experience, represent major HVAC manufacturers, maintain stocked store or warehouse facilities, provide knowledgeable counter service, accept telephone, online, and in-store orders, and offer online ordering 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The contractor must provide regular business hours, after-hours emergency availability, expedited service, same-day or next-day delivery when needed to the County facility, electronic pricing, returns for unused parts, and an annual purchasing report. The agreement is for one year beginning on or about December 1, 2026, with five additional one-year renewal options. The estimated bid value is $50,000. The bid requires a Contractor Qualification Form, IFB Required Forms, an Equal Business Opportunity participation form, a Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise Program form, and electronic line-item pricing. All bids must be submitted through the PlanetBids eProcurement system; vendors must be registered to download documents and submit a bid. The bid must include acknowledgment of issued addenda and all required supporting documents.
