Description
This request to pre-qualify seeks general contractors capable of serving as prime contractors for civil undergrounds and site development supporting a new school. The scope includes approximately 2.0 km of gravity sewer main, 2.3 km of pressurized water main, service connections, tie-ins to an existing water treatment plant and sewage pump station, and a 2.3 km pedestrian and maintenance gravel pathway through the utility corridor. Additional work includes a new access road, gravel parking lot, grading and drainage to subgrade elevation, and repair of defects during the warranty period. The school building construction is excluded and will be performed by others. Pre-qualified respondents may later be invited to bid on one or more related construction contracts; the combined civil work is currently estimated at $6 million. Only forms provided in the pre-qualification package will be considered during evaluation.
