Description
NASA/NSSC requires the purchase of Netzer VLS-131-SH-N7 Custom Encoder, Netzer VLS-78.8-SH-N7 Custom Encoder, and Netzer Non-recurring Engineering Fee in support of the Sorbent-Based Air Revitalization (SBAR) system. These space-grade absolute rotary encoders feature a contactless, hollow-shaft design for minimal wear, reduced mass, and a long operational life with a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of approximately 15 years. The specific quantities required are three (3) VLS-131-SH-N7 Custom Encoders, three (3) VLS-78.8-SH-N7 Custom Encoders, and one (1) Netzer Non-recurring Engineering Fee. The place of performance will be NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL 35812, with a period of performance of 6 Months ARO. This is a sole source procurement under FAR 12.102(a) to NETZER PRECISION POSITION SENSORS USA, INC. as they are the sole provider of these specific custom encoders.
