Description
The Oregon Health Authority's Behavioral Health Division is establishing a statewide pool of approximately 10–15 licensed Oregon psychologists who hold current Oregon Health Authority forensic evaluator certification. Evaluators will conduct primarily 90- and 180-day forensic competency evaluations for defendants court-ordered to community restoration, reassessing their psychological capacity to aid and assist in their defense and participate in required legal processes. The work includes reviewing legal, medical, mental-health, correctional, and other case materials; conducting evaluations and testing; preparing and filing reports; responding to court questions; and complying with applicable Oregon law, professional standards, and ethical guidelines. Evaluations will be assigned through individual work orders under price agreements. The anticipated initial price-agreement term is one year, with renewal options up to a maximum of seven years; the request remains open for approximately one year, with applications reviewed on an ongoing basis. Compensation is $150 per hour, generally capped at 80 hours per month unless a work order authorizes more, with specified in-state travel reimbursement. Work is primarily remote, although occasional in-person meetings, on-site work, statewide travel, court appearances, and visits to jails, courts, hospitals, or community treatment settings may be required.
