The Federal Emergency Management Agency is soliciting 132 new, unused commercial truck and trailer tires in specified sizes, load ranges, tire types, and quantities for FEMA Mobile Emergency Response Support vehicles and trailers. The requirement includes manufacturer-standard warranty documentation and prohibits used, retreaded, recapped, regrooved, blemished, or previously mounted tires unless authorized in writing. The contractor must remove existing tires, inspect wheels, mount and install the new tires, inflate and torque them to manufacturer specifications, balance them where required, install metal valve stems where required, dispose of removed tires in compliance with applicable laws, clean the work area, and provide service and disposal documentation. Work may occur at the contractor’s facility or the FEMA facility, with mobile tire-replacement capability required for work at the FEMA location. The contractor must be located within 30 miles of the FEMA facility. The anticipated award is a firm-fixed-price contract or purchase order, with performance beginning at award and continuing for 90 days.
