Description
Navajo Technical University seeks a qualified, licensed contractor to rehabilitate and repave approximately 183,000 square feet of existing parking lots, access drives, and campus circular roadway. Work includes pavement preparation and preliminary four-inch full-depth reclamation, grading and drainage corrections, base preparation and compaction, preliminary three-inch compacted asphalt paving, striping and accessible parking restoration, traffic control, testing, and site cleanup. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and incidentals for a complete project; quantities and pavement design are subject to field verification and engineering confirmation. The proposal must include the contractor’s understanding and technical methodology, construction schedule and phasing plan, key staff and subcontractor qualifications, three comparable project references, an itemized cost proposal with specified alternate unit prices, warranty, testing plan, and required procurement certifications. The campus will remain operational during construction, requiring phased closures, pedestrian protection, accessible detours, alternative parking coordination, and maintained emergency access. The RFP states a minimum one-year workmanship and materials warranty.
