Description
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is soliciting proposals for three new quadruped robots. Two robots will share identical specifications, while the third will have distinct specifications; all three must support interchangeable features, attachments, and accessories. The requested systems must be capable of traversing cluttered and uneven environments, climbing stairs autonomously or by remote control, self-righting, navigating with minimal operator input, mapping surroundings using visual and 3D imaging, and providing 360-degree situational awareness through integrated cameras. The equipment must include field-swappable batteries and a charging dock, an integrated six-degree-of-freedom arm capable of lifting up to 11 pounds and dragging up to 50 pounds, a gripper camera, semi-autonomous door and object handling, a removable and interchangeable infrared-capable PTZ camera with at least 30x optical zoom, compatibility with Silvus Technologies StreamCaster 4200x2 radios and the Milestone Video Management System, a remote controller with display, and a heavy-duty transport case. The selected proposer must provide one day of on-site training and warranty support, including on-site warranty service for one year after product acceptance or for the manufacturer's warranty period, whichever is longer. The solicitation identifies Boston Dynamics SPOT as a reference product, followed by “or equal.”
