Description
The Government of the Virgin Islands Department of Property and Procurement is soliciting proposals from qualified and properly licensed elevator contractors to modernize one existing hydraulic passenger elevator at the Property and Procurement Building. The elevator has a 2,100-pound capacity, 100 feet-per-minute speed, and three stops. The base scope includes a new microprocessor-based hydraulic controller, hydraulic power unit and oil, solid-state motor starter, closed-loop door operator, infrared door protection, hoistway door restrictors, car operating panel, hall fixtures, emergency lighting and communication equipment, safety systems, car interior work, testing, commissioning, inspections, permits, and AHJ coordination. Proposers must provide labor, supervision, engineering, project management, materials, equipment, transportation, and incidental services. Proposals must include a detailed scope, equipment manufacturers and model numbers, project schedule and lead times, warranty, optional pricing for extended warranty, preventive maintenance, remote monitoring/IoT, communication upgrades, car interior and hall fixture upgrades, qualifications, comparable project references, licensing, insurance, safety information, subcontractor information, payment schedule, assumptions, exclusions, and deviations. The period of performance is 45 calendar days. A completed and signed proposal form and non-collusion affidavit are required; additional organizational, licensing, corporate, reference, registration, and cost-proposal materials are also required at submission.
