Description
The Town of Bluffton is seeking a contractor for Phase 3 pathway pedestrian safety improvements at multiple locations. The scope includes asphalt and concrete work; removal and disposal of existing pavement, curb, gutter, and concrete; concrete sidewalks and pedestrian ramps; detectable warning surfaces; pavement markings and signage; erosion control; grading; traffic control; construction surveying; irrigation adjustments; landscape restoration; and installation of rectangular rapid flashing beacon assemblies. The Town will provide the RRFB materials, poles, and related equipment, while the contractor will provide installation and associated electrical work. Bidders must submit unit pricing, an implementation schedule addressing major milestones and material lead times, a South Carolina contractor's license, bid security, a contractor questionnaire with three similar-project references, intended subcontractor information, and the required local preference certification if claiming local preference. The bid package must comply with the plans, technical specifications, Town special conditions, SCDOT requirements, permits, applicable ADA, traffic-control, erosion-control, insurance, and bonding requirements.
