LEGAL NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Bid Dates for the sealed bids for the “Proposed Emergency and Non-Emergency Tree Removal, Hazard Tree Mitigation, Crane Services, Tree Pruning and Stump Grinding within the Town Right of Way” in the Town of Greenburgh” have been extended. Bids will be received by the Town Clerk of the Town of Greenburgh, Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Avenue, White Plains, NY 10607 until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, and will be publicly read aloud in the Town Hall Meeting Room. The project consists of Tree removal, Mitigation, Tree Pruning and Stump Grinding on various streets in the Town of Greenburgh. A detailed Bid Notice is available on the Town's website, www.greenburghny.com, BidNet, www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york, and the New York State Contract website, www.nyscr.ny.gov. Bidder must submit statement of non-collusion in accordance with Section 103-D of the Municipal Law. Sealed bids must be addressed to the Town Clerk and marked: “Proposed Emergency and Non-Emergency Tree Removal, Hazard Tree Mitigation, Crane Services, Tree Pruning and Stump Grinding within the Town Right of Way within the Town of Greenburgh-2026” THE TOWN BOARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS. Description
The Town of Greenburgh is soliciting sealed bids for as-needed emergency and non-emergency tree services throughout town rights of way. The scope includes hazard tree mitigation; crane-assisted removal; removal of storm-damaged, fallen, or hanging trees and limbs; tree pruning and utility-clearance pruning; stump grinding; chipping; debris removal; site restoration; and traffic control. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, vehicles, cranes, bucket trucks, chippers, stump grinders, and traffic-control devices. The contract requires immediate emergency response capability, including a staffed 24-hour telephone number, response to emergency call-outs within one hour, and on-site mobilization within three hours. Bidders must own or maintain under exclusive long-term lease the required equipment, demonstrate at least three years of municipal tree-work experience, and provide at least three municipal references for similar services performed within the last five years. The contract is for one year, with up to three additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. Bids must include a five-percent bid security, and the successful contractor must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, insurance, and a two-year maintenance bond.
