Description

The City of Santa Clara is seeking a contractor to furnish and deliver two new outdoor instrument air compressors and two new outdoor air dryers to replace existing equipment at Silicon Valley Power's Donald Von Raesfeld Power Plant. The scope includes design and engineering, procurement, fabrication, factory testing, delivery, technical submittals, documentation, warranties, and compliance with specified performance, electrical, controls, enclosure, air-quality, and environmental requirements. The specified reference equipment includes Ingersoll Rand Model H125A air compressors and Model TZ600 air dryers, or approved equivalents. The contractor must also provide commissioning services after City installation, including at least two site visits, installation verification, startup support, functional and performance testing, safety-control testing, training, and commissioning and final reports. Bidders must submit pricing and the required questionnaire, certification, customer references, payment terms, and technical documentation; an approved-equals form and supporting product literature are required if proposing alternatives. The contract includes minimum twelve-month service and equipment warranties, while insurance documentation is due after intended award rather than with the bid.
