Description
The Alcorn County Board of Supervisors, with the Mississippi Office of State Aid Road Construction, is soliciting bids for construction of approximately 1.137 miles of overlay on Farmington Road under Project No. SAP-02(21)M. The work includes mobilization, granular material, asphalt overlay and leveling, cold milling of bituminous pavement, maintenance of traffic, thermoplastic edge and traffic striping, pavement legends, raised pavement markers, and reflectorized warning and regulatory signs. The contract time is 40 working days, and award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder based on published quantities. Bidders must submit the entire proposal, and electronic bids must be uploaded in PDF format. A certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required; electronic bidders must also submit the original hard-copy bid bond to the county before bid opening unless the surety issues the bond electronically.
