Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting quotes from SBA-certified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses for preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, certification, and repair services for the medical gas and vacuum systems at the Erie VA Medical Center. The scope includes alarms, gas manifolds, medical booms, zone valves, oxygen, vacuum, medical air, nitrous oxide, nitrogen, WAGD, and carbon dioxide systems and outlets. The contractor must furnish labor, materials, components, tools, test equipment, certifications, and travel, and perform the work in accordance with applicable NFPA, ASSE, NIOSH, ANSI, and CGA requirements. The contract includes a base period and four consecutive one-year option periods. Inspections must be scheduled in advance, reports must be submitted electronically within five business days, and failed devices must be reported on the inspection date. Emergency repairs require on-site response within four hours, but repairs outside scheduled services require prior Contracting Officer authorization and separate firm-fixed-price approval. Quotes must include completed pricing for all line items, a signed SF 1449, signed amendments, and the required limitations-on-subcontracting certification.
