Description
The Chicago Transit Authority is soliciting non-negotiable bids for a turnkey project at its Skokie Shops facility: furnish, deliver, and install four heavy-duty stainless-steel automatic parts washers and one floor-mounted gantry crane. The scope includes removal of four existing parts washers and one parts-drying oven, concrete pit infill and floor preparation, utility connections, commissioning, factory and site testing, a four-week confidence run, operator and maintenance training, manuals, spare parts, a five-year parts-and-labor warranty, and annual maintenance service calls. Three washers must use natural-gas heating and one must use three-phase electric heating. The contract duration is up to 36 months from execution, with final equipment delivery required within 18 months of execution. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. A 10% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goal applies; bidders must meet the goal, document good-faith efforts, or use a combination of both.
