Description
The City of North Miami Beach is soliciting bids from contractors prequalified under its general-contractor program for renovation and reconfiguration of the public library restroom facilities. The work includes adding two unisex restrooms, renovating the existing men's and women's restrooms, selective demolition, asbestos-related survey and remediation allowances, new partitions and doors, porcelain tile, waterproofing, painting, restroom accessories, plumbing fixtures and piping, HVAC ductwork and exhaust modifications, electrical demolition and new lighting, emergency lighting, occupancy sensors, fire-alarm devices, receptacles, and related construction work shown in the plans and specifications. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, transportation, and incidentals; maintain public safety and minimize service interruptions; and complete the work in accordance with the technical specifications. Subcontractors may not be utilized. Bidders must provide a valid Florida contractor license, business registrations, required certifications, three similar project references, a 5 percent bid security, and the required questionnaire and certifications. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price, are required after award.
