Description
The University of Puerto Rico is soliciting construction services for Phase 1 selective demolition and hazardous-material removal at Building 058, the former Architecture School at the Rio Piedras campus. The scope includes removal and disposal of interior contents; abatement and disposal of asbestos-containing materials and lead-based paint; and selective demolition of obsolete infrastructure and finishes, including the terrace roof, windows, doors, and vinyl flooring. Work must comply with applicable environmental regulations and be performed by certified professionals. The project is funded through FEMA and HUD CDBG-DR funds and is subject to federal labor requirements, including Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage requirements. Participation requires registration and acquisition of the solicitation documents through the Junta de Subastas portal during the stated availability period, as well as attendance at the mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit. Bidders must submit a 5% bid bond, and proposals must remain valid for 90 days after bid opening.
