Description
The Department of the Interior, National Park Service, is seeking a 52-inch remote-controlled tracked rotary slope mower, or an equal, for the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The mower is needed to safely control vegetation on steep slopes and in sensitive areas, replacing an older, manned mower. Key specifications include a 30-40hp engine, 7-gauge steel mowing deck with spindle reinforcement, 52" cutting width, and the ability to climb slopes up to 50 degrees. The mower must have remote connectivity of 1000 feet or greater and a warranty of 2 years or 400 hours. Delivery is required within 90 days of award to Hancock, Maryland.
