Description
Strathcona County is conducting a Request for Information to assess marketplace options for replacing its Mitel-based enterprise telephony environment with Microsoft Teams Phone as the anticipated primary platform for approximately 1,100 users and telephone endpoints. The County wants to maximize its existing Microsoft 365 investment while understanding alternative approaches that may provide material benefits. Third-party solutions may complement the Teams environment through PSTN connectivity, contact-center capabilities, recording, specialty applications, and integrations. Responses should address orderly migration and decommissioning; ACD, call queues, attendant and supervisor functions; extension- and business-line-level recording; customizable scheduled reporting and analytics; analog, paging, emergency, elevator, fax, common-area, ring-down, and other specialty devices; Canadian emergency calling; privacy, security, resiliency, and operational continuity; administrative control and knowledge transfer; and technical support and escalation for major incidents, service failures, and complex issues. The County intends to retain responsibility for Microsoft 365 tenant administration and routine Teams Phone configuration and troubleshooting. The final scope, architecture, service model, service levels, and procurement structure remain undetermined, and the RFI will inform a future competitive procurement.
