Description
The U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center, in conjunction with NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound, is conducting market research to identify U.S. vendors capable of supporting forward-deployed naval forces. The anticipated requirement includes two selected restricted availabilities, two surface incremental availabilities in Yokosuka, and three surface incremental availabilities in Sasebo, along with other ship maintenance, modernization, repair, and preservation work as required. The anticipated scope covers hull structures, propulsion systems, electrical plants, command and surveillance systems, auxiliary systems, shipboard outfitting, armament, integrated engineering, woodwork, and titanium piping. Contractors must be able to perform on-site work in Japan, provide necessary support services and contractor-furnished materials, comply with applicable Japanese laws and regulations and NAVSEA Standard Items, and demonstrate relevant ship repair experience, technical capabilities, labor capacity, logistics support, and any proposed teaming arrangements.
