Description
The City of Pasadena's Department of Public Works, Building Systems and Fleet Management Division is looking for a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive vehicle registration and title processing services. This includes handling renewals, title transfers, plate issuance, VIN verifications, and other related Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) transactions for the City's fleet of approximately 1,100 vehicles and equipment. The selected vendor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with California DMV requirements and supporting uninterrupted fleet operations. Services required include processing registration renewals, duplicate registrations, corrections, and new record creation, as well as title transfers, duplicate titles, and ownership updates. The scope also encompasses new, duplicate, replacement, and exempt license plate issuance, mobile VIN verifications within Pasadena city limits, and processing associated fees and taxes. Vendors must possess a valid California DMV Registration Service License, demonstrate experience with commercial fleets or governmental agencies, and maintain knowledgeable personnel regarding California vehicle registration and title requirements. Performance standards include acknowledging service requests within one business day and scheduling mobile VIN verifications within three business days. The services are to be performed at the City Yards, 323 W. Mountain Street, Pasadena, CA 91103, between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding City holidays.
