Description
The City of La Mesa is soliciting a contractor to perform garage deck waterproofing maintenance at its police department. The work includes waterproofing seven identified areas using Neogard or an equal product; concrete deck, ramp, sidewalk, and paving removal and restoration; membrane, fabric, sealant, and elastomeric coating installation; scupper and wall treatment; structure flashing; and potential sub-drainage work beneath existing pavers. The contractor must also inspect dry utility vaults and coordinate any required utility work. The solicitation includes related construction requirements such as traffic control and safety planning, stormwater best management practices, prevailing-wage compliance, public-works registration, subcontractor listing, and a valid California contractor license classification C-33 and C-39. The estimated construction cost is $110,000, with work to begin within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed and be completed within 20 working days. Electronic bids are submitted through PlanetBids, and the bid package requires a bid bond plus performance and payment bonds.
