Description
The United Nations Development Programme in Nepal seeks one or more individual contractors under a long-term agreement to provide professional simultaneous interpretation between Nepali and English, as well as consecutive interpretation for field visits, interviews, consultations, meetings, conferences, workshops, webinars, and high-level meetings. Services must be accurate, impartial, culturally sensitive, confidential, and supported by preparation using agendas, technical documents, and presentations supplied for each assignment. On an as-needed basis, the contractor must also be able to provide, install, operate, troubleshoot, and support portable wireless interpretation equipment, including a transmitter and at least 25–30 participant headsets or receivers. The initial agreement period is one year, with possible extensions up to a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory performance and continued need. The solicitation requires a technical proposal, financial proposal, curriculum vitae with at least three referees, a letter confirming interest and availability, and specified identity and banking documents; submissions are made through the supplier portal.
