Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) is issuing a Request for Supply Arrangement (RFSA) to establish a list of pre-qualified vessels and vessel charters capable of performing at-sea projects and missions related to ocean science operations (e.g., oceanography, marine mammal studies, hydrography) and fisheries science (e.g., stock assessment, biodiversity, habitat management). The requirements vary by location (Atlantic, Pacific, Inland, and Arctic regions) and include both near-shore and offshore missions within Canadian waters. The RFSA is open for bidding during specified periods in February and July through 2029. Existing qualified suppliers may amend vessel specifications or add vessels during these periods. The resulting supply arrangement is non-binding and will be used to solicit bids via future Request for Proposal processes.
