Description
This Advance Procurement Notice concerns a potential design-bid-build construction contract for remediation of PFAS-impacted soils at 19 Wing, CFB Comox. The anticipated work includes in-situ chemical soil mixing and stabilization, selective excavation, off-site disposal, drainage improvements, and site restoration. Construction is expected to occur in two phases because of UXO sequencing, constructability constraints, and seasonal construction windows. The notice is preliminary and is not a bid solicitation or request for proposals. The anticipated contract estimate is $9,300,000, subject to approval to proceed. The work will involve UXO risk and environmental protection requirements. Contractors may need to hold or obtain Designated Organization Screening through the applicable industrial security sponsorship process before contract award. The future solicitation is anticipated to be posted in January 2027.
